Imagine your own video game world where true-to-life physics as manifested in practical-appearing daily subjects provide tests for your avatar who is made up of, well, a dirty old bag.
Meet Sackboy, the chief hero in Sony’s Playstation 3 messiah, Little Big Planet.
Little Big Planet is, without a doubt, the second most influential issue for the PS3. Following Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Sony’s next gen machine was abandoned with naught that would detach it from its fierce rivaloppponent, Microsoft’s Xbox 260.
That is, until Little Big Planet is released.
Since the game’s promotional trailer was made public 2 years ago at E3, the trade has been filled with excitement when it comes to Little Big Planet. The buildup, however, is very much worth the result. Little Big Planet puts excellent use of a radical physics engine that mimics real the way of life, that is, if real way of living had a minusculed boy made of sack scampering just about the different corners of the house.
The beautiful, pragmatic graphics, wonderful physics engine and likeable toons, still, aren’t the sole advertising points of the game.
Little Big Planet swears to be the YouTube, the Wikipedia and the Web 2.0 of the video gaming commerce.
Much like other Web 2.0 sites with their user-produced content, Little Big Planet permits patrons to simply and handily make their personal levels. Similar to YouTube, Little Big Planet allows users to effortlessly and conveniently put their crafted levels on the World Wide Web for other enthusiasts to see, feel and take pleasure in. Much like Wikipedia, patrons who download user-made levels can change the same to their taste.
These features add an entirely new level of pleasure for the game, one which has never been implemented before.
One producer went to the extent of naming Little Big Planet as a simplified game developer’s kit. One look at the software and you’d instantly see that such a statement isn’t an overstatement. It’s a reality!
A number of games are met with such fanfare as Little Big Planet. Even fewer games have achieved such reputation months prior to its issuance. For a name that is not a part of an established series, Little Big Planet is showing that superiority can be felt from a mile away, and that qualityexcellence is all that the consumer wants to stir up their {excitement|exhilaration for its release.
